The Importance of 1913

September 25, 1913 represents the first day of classes at Fullerton College. We invite you to investigate the many personalities, historical events, and fascinating developments that took place that year. The 1913 section of our website allows you to imagine the world seen through the eyes of the students and faculty that launched our own college history.

1913 Day

On September 25, 2013 Fullerton College will celebrate the anniversary of the first day of classes in the following ways:

  1. Recreate 1913 small town America on the Campus Quad with staged performances and interactive moments; 11:00–1:00 P.M. and 5:00–7:00 P.M.
  2. Invite instructors to present the topics of 1913 for their respective subjects in class that day.
  3. Encourage instructors to work with Bob Jensen and Gary Krinke to bring a time-traveling 1913 character to your classroom that day.
  4. Invite faculty, students, staff and guests to dress like it is 1913.
