ALUMNI STORIES: JC PEARSON

JC PEARSON

JC Pearson made a name for himself playing football at El Camino High School in Oceanside, California. JC’s freshman year of college was spent at Cal Poly Pomona where he eventually transferred to Fullerton College for his sophomore season in 1982. JC played for FC Hall of Famer Coach Hal Sherbeck (2005) and along FC Hall of Famer Brian Noble (2008) on a team that went 9-2 overall and was ranked 9th in the nation. By the season’s end, Pearson was selected 2nd Team All-South Coast Conference and offered a scholarship to the University of Washington.

JC went on to shine at Washington where he was signed as a free agent by the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs. He played defensive back in the NFL for eight seasons, from 1986 to 1993, with most of his time spent with the Chiefs (7 seasons). JC wrapped up his professional football career with the Minnesota Vikings playing one season in 1993.

After his playing days, Pearson successfully began broadcasting college and NFL games teaming up with Curt Menefee (NFL on FOX), Matt Vasgersian (NFL on FOX), Chris Marlowe (ESPN), and Dave Lamont (ESPN). JC is currently with FOX broadcasting college football games every weekend all over the country.
